They can’t wait to get rolling. How about you?

  • We have planned a bike rodeo to teach students bike safety for the summer for June 1, 2013.
—Pomaria-Garmany Elementary School, Pomaria, South Carolina
  • This will be both a Walk to School Day and Bike to School Day event. We have received donations of snacks and drinks!
    —Eldorado K-8 School, Superior, Colorado
  • Our school is located in the middle of a subdivision, therefore a lot of our students walk to school already! We are going to have a P.E. lesson before October on safety and the advantages of walking/riding a bike so they can see the benefits of walking vs. riding in a car. All of the students will receive 1 coloring sheet (that encourages them to keep walking when the weather is permitting) for each of the 4 seasons. Safe School Route puzzles and games will also go along with this event to encourage participation and ignite excitement!
—Shadow Oaks Elementary School, Horn Lake, Mississippi
